The MSUM community comes together to celebrate Dragon Athletics.

Viviana Stock is just warming up.

Jon Stock and his daughter stretch out to get ready for the lap around Nemzek track to celebrate Dragon Athletics.

“It’s great to get the community involved. The Dragon Athletics are doing wonderful lately they’re just on the rise so to give us the opportunity to come out and help them or you know, show our support is great,” says Jon Stock who works on MSUM’s campus.

MSUM faculty says the Dragon Athletics program has been doing a good job and has many reasons to celebrate.

“We’ve had a wonderful year in athletics. Our men’s you know basketball team going to the Elite 8. The football team had a great season this year. Our women’s basketball team went to the conference tournaments,” says Assistant Athletic Director Gloria Riopelle.

The celebration not only bringing families together, but possibly future generations to MSUM.

“We might have a future dragon or two in the crowd here, we’ll see what happens,” says Mike Crummy of West Fargo.

Jon and Viviana may cross the finish line but they say they aren’t done showing their school spirit.

Whether it’s taking pictures with future generations or inviting alumni to MSUM, faculty says they just want to get everyone on the same track to celebrate Dragon Athletics.

The event was free and open to the public.
