Ed Clapp’s New Mascot

 Fargo’s newest school now has a new logo and mascot.
 
Ed Clapp Elementary is now home to the explorers.

It’s a name that honors the late Ed Clapp of Fargo who visited every continent except Antarctica.

The Explorers is a name that incorporates characteristics of the school mission: high academic achievement, student leadership, and appreciation for diversity
 
“The building isn’t open yet, but it’s really important that we can start building unity and creating our identity, and our logo absolutely helps to do that for us,” said Principal Jennifer Schuldheisz.
 
Ed Clapp Elementary will open up in the next school year with around 450 students.
