Sunday Liquor Sales Vote Gaining Steam in Minnesota

Minnesota’s House Speaker is assuring advocates of full liquor sales on Sundays that a vote is coming.

But Kurt Daudt, the state’s top Republican, stopped short of guaranteeing an outcome in the perennial fight.

Daudt says he personally plans to vote in favor of the measure to lift a ban on liquor stores from opening seven days a week.

He previously opposed the measure.

Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton says he would sign a Sunday sales authorization bill.
