Fire Destroys Barn Northwest Of Fairmount

An old barn northwest of Fairmount is destroyed by a fire.

It was reported before noon on property owned by Angie Riffel.

She says she was was burning debris in a burn-barrel when the fire spread to dry grass and then to the barn.

Flames also damaged an older single-stall garage.
