The F–M Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Group donates $14,000 for research and treatment.

The funds were raised through silent auctions, the selling of yard signs and jewelry, through walks and vigils and the HoDo tip line.

$10,000 will go towards the “Building Tomorrow Today Campaign” in support of Pancreatic Cancer Clinical Research at Roger Maris Cancer Center.

Pancreatic cancer is the fourth leading cause of cancer death in the U.S.

73 percent of people diagnosed with the disease die within the first year.
