Elementary School Runs With A Loved One

Bennett Elementary students bring out loved ones for the largest run in the school’s history.

More than 100 fourth and fifth graders along with family and friends took part in the school’s seventh annual “Run with a Loved One 5K.”

They could run either a three–mile, five kilometers, or one–mile course starting in the front of the school.

Many students started preparing for  today’s run as early as before Christmas.

Fourth grade teacher Jennifer Wagner says, “It’s just motivating to have someone there with you who cares about you. Pushing you to keep going and if you can’t run you can slow down and walk it. The important thing is that you get out there and finish the race.”

Medals provided by Mark Knutson of Go Far Events and the Fargo Marathon were awarded to all participates.
