Drug Overdose Immunity Passes
North Dakota’s Senate has passed a bill giving immunity to someone who calls authorities to report a drug overdose.
Republican Sen. Howard Anderson says his bill is aimed at saving lives.
The retired Turtle Lake pharmacist says there have been cases in North Dakota in which drug overdoses have gone unreported for fear of criminal prosecution.
It now goes to the House for consideration.
Twenty-two states have enacted some form of a drug immunity law.
