Companies Still Struggle to Fill Jobs; Search Continues at Holiday Inn Career Fair

Employers say they’re having trouble finding people to fill jobs in the area, even at career fairs.

A handful of companies took part in a hiring event at the Fargo Holiday Inn.

Tak Communications out of Sioux Falls is looking for cable installers and sales people.

Reps say the company is always hiring.

But job fair like this one don’t always pay off.

A recent career fair in the Twin Cities only resulted in three hires.

They weren’t too optimistic about finding any employees at this event.

“It’s very challenging right now,” says Pam Boyden with Tak Communications. “It’s just tough to find the right candidate. It’s tough to know the right place to go to look for those candidates.”
 
Reps say if they keep striking out at job fairs, Tak will likely stop coming to them all together.
