Fargo Preps Warming House for Downtown Skate Rink

With temperatures well above freezing, it is way too early to build an ice rink.

But the Fargo Park District still set up its warming house for the “Downtown On Ice” rink.

Park officials say the ice rink will be laid down as soon as weather permits.

It’s the second year for the downtown rink and although it may be too warm right now, they’re still excited for the season.

“The weather conditions are not that conducive for making ice right now, but none the less, we’re excited to have our building in place and be a part of this great event for another year,” said Foreman Dave Bietz.

The warming house will stick around until April.
