A Burglary That Lead to Another Foot Chase

Moorhead Police say a burglary suspect is behind bars thanks to the work of neighbors, K-9 Milo and his partner.

Twenty-one-year-old Colby Knudson is facing charges of burglary, theft and fleeing after allegedly breaking into a home on the 1600 block of 18th St. South.

Neighbors say they saw Knudson run out the back door of the home and called police.

Police say K-9 Milo found Knudson hiding in a porch on the 1300 block of 10th Avenue South and they were able to take him into custody.

“We always want to remind everyone that if you leave your doors open, unlocked, especially overnight it could be incredibly scary if somebody were to intrude in your house,” says Moorhead Police Chief, Lieutenant Tory Jacobson.

Lieutenant Jacobson says burglary rates have been steadily increasing throughout the year.

The Minnesota State Patrol also helped in the arrest.
