Altru Hospital Unveils “Let Life Bloom”; Recognizes Organ Donors

Folks who’ve saved lives in Grand Forks are getting a little extra recognition this month.

The “Let Life Bloom” organ donation awareness campaign runs through the month of April, and Altru hospital is recognizing some of its donors.

They’ve added new names to its donor tribute wall, including that of a living donor.

Donors and their families have given wait-listed patients almost 90 lifesaving organs since the program started in 2006.

“It can be a very emotional time for families waiting through a difficult process, and I think that making the decision to let part of the loved one live on can make it more easy.”
