Grand Forks Sheriff Ready to Propose a Burning Ban

The Sheriff of Grand Forks is ready to propose a burning ban in his county.

Bob Rost says conditions around Grand Forks County are very dry.

Rural fire departments have already responded to a few calls where the fires got out of control.

He will propose a burning ban during the County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday that would go into effect that day.

Violators could be jailed for up to 30 days and fined.
