Mall Easter Bunny Arrested For Failing To Register As Sex Offender

A sex offender who had been hired to serve as the Easter bunny at a Minot mall has been arrested.
 
Police in Minot say 24-year-old Minot resident Daniel Sanderson has been arrested on an outstanding warrant for a probation violation and has also been charged with failure to register as a sex offender.

Investigators received a tip alerting them that Sanderson was being employed through a job service agency to serve as the Easter bunny at the Dakota Square Mall.

Police say neither the employment service agency Command Labor nor the mall knew that Sanderson is a sex offender.

Court records show Sanderson pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor indecent exposure charge in December and was ordered to register as a sex offender.
