Good Turn Out For Annual Derby For The Vets
Derby competitors took it the track, to fund-raise for the local VA hospital.
Nearly 100 people came to support the Fargo VA hospital’s annual derby fundraiser.
The main event was the pinewood derby competition, which the mayors of the Metro area kicked off.
They plan to use the fund to remodel the VA hospital and patient rooms.
Organizers say they appreciate the crowd that came out to support veterans.
“I think it generates a lot of enthusiasm not only from our veterans but from the community in general which is phenomenal for us,” says Fargo VA Health Care System Director Lavonne Liversage.
The goal of the fundraiser is to raise $22,000.
