American Crystal Sugar Employees Preparing to Vote on New Contract
The contract includes three percent annual increases and nearly three percent hike in the last year of the contract

RED RIVER VALLEY — American Crystal Sugar employees are preparing to vote on a new five year labor contract that will cover 1,300 employees in Moorhead, East Grand Forks, Crookston and other areas.
Company officials met with the union at least eight times and are offering base pay increases and a one-time incentive offer pertaining to a signing bonus for year-round workers.
The contract includes three percent annual increases and nearly three percent hike in the last year of the contract.
If the contract is defeated, company officials say the negotiations will begin again in June with the current contract expiring in July.
