Labor Union Approves Contract with American Crystal Sugar

The contract covers about 1,300 employees in Moorhead, East Grand Forks, Crookston and other areas

RED RIVER VALLEY — Union workers at American Crystal Sugar have approved a new labor contract.

The contract covers about 1,300 employees in Moorhead, East Grand Forks, Crookston and other areas.

Company officials met with the union at least eight times and are offering base pay increases and a one-time incentive offer pertaining to a signing bonus for year-round workers.

The contract includes three percent annual increases and nearly three percent hike in the last year of the contract.
