Minnesota Lawmakers Listen To Community Concerns
Minnesota state legislators hold a town hall discussion to hear concerns from the public on a variety of issues.
Senator Kent Eken and Representative Ben Lien are talking to people in the community to inform them about the upcoming bonding bill and the state surplus.
Constituents chimed in on their concerns about where the surplus money should be spent.
Locals were most concerned about healthcare, making it affordable, and funding care in long-term group homes.
“We want to hear from them and what their concerns are. What issues they want us to address in the upcoming legislative session. It’s also an opportunity for us to let them know what’s to be coming up in this upcoming legislative session as well,” says State Senator Kent Eken.
The next town hall meeting is set for February 20th at the Robert Asp School Library.
