“Old Fashioned Beat Cop”: Well-Known Downtown Fargo Officer Switches Beats

One well-known downtown resource officer is switching beats.

Fargo police officer Todd Wahl has been rotated to help patrols in the north Fargo area.

To recognize his dedication to Downtown Fargo an appreciation party was held for Wahl at Rhombus Guys.

“Because were downtown, and because we have a pretty dense built environment. It takes what I call the old fashioned beat cop. It takes somebody to get out of the car that’s willing to walk the streets get to know the merchants downtown, and Todd has done an  extraordinary job at that,” said Mike Hahn CEO of the downtown community partnership.

Wahl has worked as the downtown resource officer for seven years.
