Moorhead Police Arrest One in Early Morning Stabbing

Moorhead Police respond to the call of stabbing early this morning.
 
Two people involved were sent to the hospital, and one later landed behind bars.

Moorhead Police got the call just before 4:00am from a man who says that he had been stabbed by his girlfriend.
 
Officers responded to the 900 block of 18th Street South after an argument between the victim and his girlfriend escalated into an assault with a six inch kitchen knife.

Kristhela From, 48, of Moorhead is in the Clay County Jail.

Police say when they arrived on scene, From and her boyfriend both had injuries.

“A physical domestic incident had escalated to involving a knife. Both parties were injured. The male received a number of lacerations that are non-life threatening the female had a superficial laceration on her hand,” said Lt. Tory Jacobson of Moorhead Police.
 
Police say alcohol was a factor in the dispute, and detectives are investigating what led to the assault.
 
From is currently facing felony second degree assault and domestic assault charges.
