Cass and Clay County Volunteers Come Together for Day of Caring

United Way of Cass Clay is Hosting Their 26th Annual Day of Caring

REGIONAL — United Way of Cass Clay is hosting their 26th Annual Day of Caring on Thursday, October 12.

Nearly 2,000 volunteers will be helping 470 seniors throughout both counties.

Volunteers will be helping seniors with household chores such as raking leaves, fixing gutters, or cleaning behind their refrigerator.

“It’s more than leaves, it’s more than raking,” said Kristina Hein, who is the marketing director with the United Way of Cass Clay. “It’s really connecting those generations in our community and having people understand that we all need help sometimes and it’s all of our responsibility to be united in that and help one and other.”

This year, the United Way is focusing on sending volunteers to rural areas.

They’ll be helping nine senior citizens around Arthur and Hunter, North Dakota.
