No Ball Required: Local Brewery Celebrates New Year With Keg Drop
The midnight ball drop in Times Square is a New Year’s Eve tradition.
A local brewery is adding an alcoholic twist to their New Year’s festivities.
Junkyard Brewing is dropping a keg at midnight, lined with festive holiday lights.
This is the first full year Junkyard has called 1st Avenue in Moorhead home.
Owners say the keg drop signifies a year of success and a year of hope coming up in 2016.
Junkyard President Aaron Juhnke says its, “kind of a celebration of what happened, and looking forward to things to come too. We had a good first year here, and we’re looking forward to being here in Moorhead for quite a while longer. “
The brewery isn’t expected to fill up until close to midnight, so there’s still time to make it out for the celebration.
