Holiday Spirit Stays Alive With Sleigh Rides

Christmas is over, but the holiday spirit is still alive.
 
Thanks to Moorhead Parks, you can enjoy a horse drawn sleigh ride through Viking Park. And don’t let the cold temperatures stop you.

The Hjemkomst center is making sure people stay warm with hot cocoa and blankets for the ride.

It’s a holiday tradition that Moorhead Parks wants to stay alive.

“It’s just kind of an old time thing I think for a lot of people. It’s something from their childhood or something that somebody has told them about in the past,” says Hjemkomst Volunteer, Jean Doty.
 
If you’re one who enjoys the cold, cross country ski and snow shoes will also be available at the Hjemkomst Center.

Sleigh rides will continue through Wednesday from 1 to 4 each day.

Tickets are $4 at the door.
