Legal Holiday Fireworks On Sale
It’s the third year North Dakotans can take advantage of setting off fireworks to celebrate the New Year.
The state legislature two years ago passed a law allowing the sale of fireworks from the day after Christmas through New Year’s.
Fireworks can be sold to any North Dakota resident over the age of 12.
People at Memory Fireworks in Horace say every year more people are getting into the holiday fireworks.
And with the snow, comes a new experience.
“With the little snow cover we have, the fireworks actually reflect off the snow. So it’s a whole different effect. It’s pretty cool,” says Memory Firework Manager David Reuter.
In Fargo and Grand Forks, fireworks are not allowed to be shot off within city limits.
In West Fargo, fireworks can be shot off on private property from December 31th until 1 am January 1st.
Fireworks that fly or explode are illegal in Minnesota.
