Fargo Liquor Control Board holds Special Session to Discuss Liquor License Violations

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The Fargo Liquor Control Board held a special session to discuss potential liquor license violations committed by Old Broadway and The Windbreak.

The violations against Old Broadway were brought forward after video surfaced of a doorman assaulting a customer.

The board says the doorman is under 21 and hasn’t completed his server training.

The Windbreak’s violation was over-serving.

A 23-year -old female crashed her car into a pole and was charged with a DUI after leaving the bar.

Auditor for the city of Fargo Steve Sprague said, “This is the first time a case of potential over serving has been brought to the liquor board and as you saw through the debate and questions and that type of stuff and even the vote of a three two vote shows that it’s hard to discern. Are they at fault?”

Both bars were given administrative penalties which resulted in a 500 dollar fine.

They have the option to appeal the penalties.
