Over 500 women raise support help those facing homelessness
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — As we head into the cold, winter months, the importance of helping those facing homelessness becomes more and more crucial.
That’s why over 500 women along with the United Way held a silent auction.
According to United Way, around 1,000 people in the local community experience homelessness, with 200 of them being children.
With the first 5,000 being matched by Dale Carnegie, as they come together to help those in our community.
Tiffany McShane, United Way’s Senior Director of Community Engagement, says, “Stopping and remembering there’s a community around us that’s in need and they are looking for a little bit of support. And as a community we can show up for them.”
According to United Way, one in seven children experience homelessness in the region.
