Man identified in Fatal Becker County Crash on Highway 59

BECKER CO., Minn. (KVRR) — A Detroit Lakes man killed in a crash on Highway 59 on Friday afternoon has been identified.

Minnesota State Patrol says 36-year-old Timothy Mitchell crossed the center line and crashed into a semi.

Mitchell died at the scene.

The crash happened around 4 pm, south of North Tower Road in Becker County.

The driver of the semi, a man from Detroit Lakes, was not hurt.

The crash remains under investigation.
