Toad Lake man dies after falling through ice in Becker County

TOAD LAKE TOWNSHIP, Minn. (KVRR) – The Becker County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a 67-year-old Toad Lake man died after falling through the ice at Big Toad Lake. Multiple agencies found Jerry Buhr in four to five feet of water.

After family members had not heard from him and found a crack in the ice on the lake, they called the sheriff’s office. Buhr was found early Saturday morning around 3:22 a.m.
