Pickleball tournament hosted at Courts Plus Community Fitness

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR)- One of the fastest growing sports in the U.S. hosted a tournament this weekend in Fargo.

Courts Plus Community Fitness Center hosted a 4-hour pickleball tournament.

This tournament had 10 doubles teams with people from all over the region coming to participate.

The competition was quite fierce and the competitors loved the opportunity to play against other high level players.

Tim Fiechtner, a tournament participant, said, “Well I’ve always competed in everything that I do, so when you can add competing into getting a good workout and pickleball is such a social sport too so there’s a lot of camaraderie here.”

Fiechtner also said, “We all know each other really well; it’s become a second family to me, so I am blessed to have found this sport.”

This tournament held a round robin and elimination bracket with prizes given to the top three winners of the tournament.
