Ellendale Man Killed in Crash On Slick Road, Not Discovered for Hours

UPDATE 1/7/24: The victim has been identified by North Dakota Highway Patrol as 69-year-old Kim Brokaw of Ellendale.

DICKEY CO., N.D. (KVRR/KFGO)– An Ellendale, North Dakota man is dead after a crash on a slippery road six miles southwest of the town.

Highway Patrol says the 69-year-old man was driving a pickup that left the road and rolled as it went into the ditch.

He was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected.

They believe the crash happened around 1 a.m. but wasn’t discovered until about 7 a.m.

The name of the victim has not been released.
