Get Social About the Community: Residents Chime In On Issues
A social company invites the public to an open discussion on issues and ideas that may be important to the community.
Residents were encouraged to drop in on the conversation at the Downtown Fargo Public Library held by Folkways.
The organization facilitated the talk by using an open space format.
This allows participants to choose their own topics and float to different tables to join in on other discussions.
“It’s just great to be able to connect with your neighbors. We talked about this morning how nothing is possible without the help of your community. It’s great to get people together and kind of just form a collective appreciation for the issues that are around,” says Folkways community builder Simone Wai.
Folkways plans to document the dialog for each topic.
