College Hockey: UND Reflects On Its First Sixteen Games of the Season

UND dropped to number six in the USCHP poll after Union series

GRAND FORKS, N.D. — With the first half of the regular season winding down, UND hockey has been reflecting a lot on its first sixteen games.

The biggest lessons, however, came from the Hawks’ last two contests against then-unranked Union. Following that series, UND dropped to number six in the USCHP poll.

Head Coach Brad Berry says one of the biggest focuses in this week of practice is piecing together a full game.

“We know we have to grow in a lot of different areas and part of that is playing a 60 minute game,” Berry said. “I think Friday night we didn’t have the start we wanted. Saturday we had the start we wanted and it was probably in a one-minute segment of the game we probably want back when Union scored those two goals, but the one minute killed us. We need to make sure we play 60 minutes and not 59.”

Minute number one starts at 7:37 p.m. on Friday.
