Fargo Teen Sentenced for Tampering With A Witness in Jail

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A Fargo teen is sentenced to 11 years in federal prison for conspiracy to tamper with a witness.
19-year-old Daniel Cisse was sentenced by Chief District Judge Peter Welte.
He pleaded guilty last September for his role in assaulting a federal witness in the Cass County jail on January 14th, 2023.
Cisse and others were trying to prevent the witness from testifying about the drug-related homicide of Santino Marial.
He was shot to death in Fargo in August 2020.
Co-defendants Jesse James Burnett and Shaquiel Anthony Mendez are currently set for trial on July 16, 2024.
