Heavy Fog to Blame for 7-Vehicle Injury Crash in Northwest North Dakota

MOUNTRAIL CO., N.D. (KVRR) — Heavy fog this morning near Ross, in northwest North Dakota, is being blamed for a seven-vehicle injury crash.
North Dakota Highway Patrol says it happened around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 2 and 93rd Avenue Northwest, about 4 miles west of Ross.
A semi pulling an empty trailer attempted to turn onto Highway 2 and was hit by an SUV.
As the semi driver was trying to pull the rig off the highway, five more eastbound vehicles became involved in the crash.
The patrol says the sequence of these events is unknown at this time.
They are currently investigating the crash and attempting to locate all drivers, passengers and extent of their injuries.
They say a release will be sent out in the following days when more information is available.
