Polk County Sheriff Finds Teen’s Abduction Claim Is Unproven

POLK CO., Minn. (KVRR) — Polk County Sheriff’s Office has determined that the reported abduction of a 17 year old female south of East Grand Forks was unfounded.

They got a report of the teen found tied up along a road about 10 miles south of town on Monday afternoon.

The girl was checked by Altru Ambulance staff and had no injuries.

She had told deputies that she had been abducted.

The sheriff’s office now saying that with new information that claim was unproven.
