WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR/KFGO) — A former West Fargo Rural Fire Department chief is running for West Fargo City Commission.

Rory Jorgensen has lived in the city for over 50 years.

He works for Servpro in commercial reconstruction after retiring from rural fire in 2019.

He spent 25 years with West Fargo Fire Department.

Jorgensen says the city is poised for more development and needs more apartments.

Also running for the commission are Tyler Erickson, Amy Zundel and John Severson.

Two seats will be on the June ballot with Commissioners Mark Simmons and Mandy George not seeking re-election.
