Passenger Dies of Suicide During Traffic Stop on Veterans Boulevard

WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR/KFGO — A person is dead after taking their own life during a traffic stop at the intersection of 26th Avenue South and Veterans Boulevard.
Police stopped a vehicle around 11:30 a.m. for probably cause relating to a domestic dispute.
The driver got out of the vehicle and was briefly detained.
The passenger did not comply with officers and stayed in the vehicle where they pulled out a weapon and shot themself.
No shots were fired by West Fargo Police and there were no other injuries.
Police had previous contact with the individual regarding a domestic dispute on Saturday night.
The intersection was blocked off for a couple of hours while law enforcement investigated.
Names of those involved have not been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
