Forman man charged after teen is lit on fire

FORMAN, N.D. (KVRR/KFGO) — A man has been charged with aggravated assault after a teen was lit on fire in Sargent County last weekend.

Sheriff Travis Paeper says it happened at a farm shop Saturday night.

Paeper says the 15-year-old victim was at a party when someone sprayed him with brake cleaner and Lance Tyler, of Forman, lit it on fire.

The boy’s sweatshirt caught fire. Paeper says others at the party helped put out the flames.

The victim suffered burns to his face and neck.

Someone at the party recorded the incident and posted it to social media.
