A reminder of bike safety as we head into warmer weather
FARGO (KVRR) – With the warmer weather, more and more people are hitting the streets with their bikes.
But it’s important to remember bike safety for you and your children.
This includes looking both ways before crossing the road, be aware of moving vehicles and always wear your helmet.
“It’s a lot easier to fix another component of the body than it is to fix anybody’s brain. Whether you are a developing child or an adult. The brain works for all the functions of the body so we need that function properly and keep it safe and protected.” said Katie Heck, the manager at the Safe Kids Fargo-Moorhead.
A properly fitted helmet can save you from a serious accident when it comes to head injuries and the brain. And for drivers, if you see bicyclists, slow down and drive cautiously.
