Do’s and Don’ts for Seeing New Star Wars Flick

“The Force Awakens”, the seventh movie in the Star Wars saga, premiers Thursday night.

But before fans hit Marcus Theaters, they need to know a few rules.

Jedis should have no problem seeing the movie. Stormtroopers, on the other hand, might run into an issue or two.

Marcus Theaters has released a list of rules for fans seeing the movie to ensure crowd safety.

Costumes are allowed, but masks and helmets are prohibited.

Prop weapons that model real weapons are banned, so no blasters.

Lightsabers, however, are welcomed.

Star Wars Fans at Pandora Comics say they understand why the rules are in place, even if they think they’re a little restrictive.

“The mask thing might be a little overdone, but I can understand the guns and stuff a little bit,” says Star Wars fan and Paradox employee Alex Early.

West Acres Cinema plans to have costumed characters greet fans as they arrive for screenings on Thursdays.

A Star Wars Cos-play group, the 501st Legion, also plans to celebrate “The Force Awakens” with fans in full dress outside West Acres.
