House Fire Causes $250,000 in Damage in South Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR: 3PM UPDATE) — Damage from a house fire in the Osgood area of Fargo is estimated at 250 thousand dollars.

Firefighters were called to the house around 7 a.m. and arrived to heavy fire with at least one fully involved room on the first floor.

The only person at home at the time was leaving the house as crews arrived.

The fire spread up into the attic.

Crews were able to confine the heavy damage to the room where the fire started and part of the attic over that room, which appeared to be a library.

The entire house has heat and smoke damage which will force those living there out for some time.

A firefighter suffered smoke inhalation but was checked and cleared to return to work.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
