Former Force Star and Minnesota Native, Jack Peart Signs with Wild
Minnesota Prep Hockey Star Inks Pro Deal With Home Team
MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Wild all calling up some serious homegrown talent today, inking Jack Peart to an entry level contract.
Peart was Minnesota’s Mr. Hockey in 2021 following his senior season at Grand Rapids High as well as the Reed Larson award as the State’s best senior defenseman. He netted 32 goals and 83 points in his 68 career high school games. Next, he played two years for the Fargo Force where he scored one goal and 17 points in 29 games.
Peart returned to the State of Hockey for college, playing three years for St. Cloud State with eight goals and 55 points in 109 games for the Huskies. The Wild selected him 54th overall in the second round of the 2021 NHL Draft. The Wild signed Peart to a three-year, entry-level contract that begins next season. He will head to the Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Iowa Wild on an amateur tryout for the rest of this season.
