Area Law Enforcement Take on Salvation Army Duty
Police officers from across the F–M area rang bells today for a good cause.
Today was Law Enforcement Day with the Salvation Army.
Law enforcement officers and the North Dakota Air National Guard took time from their own busy schedules to support the Salvation Army.
“It’s simply a good cause for us. It gives us a chance to get out and interact with the public in a somewhat non–threatening environment,” said Fargo Police Sgt. Michael Bernier. “It gives us a … like I said just a good chance to get out and interact with the community.”
One hundred and twenty officers from seven different law enforcement agencies and the North Dakota Air Nation Guard took part in today’s charity event at 18 locations across the Cass and Clay Counties.
