Leadership Academy’s First Graduating Class

The class from the first onsite leadership academy in the state is graduating.

Students from the West Fargo Public School Leadership Academy presented their final projects to the school board.

The program is a partnership between the school district and NDSU.

Their final projects rather than theoretical research were action research, giving students some hands on experience.

The 14 students focused on leadership roles.

“The benefit of this model probably has less to do with universities and much more to do with the willingness of the district to really embrace this,” says Associate Professor, NDSU, Ann Clapper

The leadership program is launching in other school districts including Fargo, Northern Cass and Oakes.

The first class will graduate from NDSU on Friday.
