Vikings Trade up for Second First Round Selection; Select LB Dallas Turner
THE VIKINGS TRADED UP TO THE 17TH PICK TO SELECT DALLAS TURNER FROM ALABAMA.
DETROIT (KVRR)–After trading up one spot from 11 to 10 to select Quarterback J.J. McCarthy, the Vikings traded back up to No. 17 to select Dallas Turner, a Linebacker from Alabama.
Turner was widely expected to be a top-10 pick. He fell to 17 and Minnesota chose to trade up to select him.
This past season at Alabama, Turner had 28 tackles and 10 sacks.
The Vikings trade was:
Vikings GET: Pick No. 17
Jaguars GET: Pick No. 23, 2024 5th-round pick, 2025 3rd-round pick, 2025 4th-round pick.
