Minnesota Selects CB Khyree Jackson with 4th-Round Pick (108 overall)
THE VIKINGS ADD TO THEIR DEFENSE WITH FIRST SELECTION SINCE PICK 17.
DETROIT (KVRR)– The Minnesota Vikings made a huge splash on day one of the NFL Draft on Thursday. They traded up twice to select Michigan Quarterback J.J. McCarthy at No. 10 and Alabama Edge Dallas Turner at No. 17. In doing so, they traded several draft picks leaving them with just a single 4th-round pick, two 6th-round picks and two 7th-round picks for the rest of the 2024 Draft.
Now, with their first selection since pick No. 17, the Minnesota Vikings selected Cornerback Khyree Jackson from Oregon with their 4th-round pick, 108 overall.
Last season with the Ducks, Jackson was 1st team All-Pac-12 and recorded the following stat line:
33 tackles, 2 sacks, 4 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions and 9 pass breakups.

With their 6th-round pick (177 overall) the Vikings selected Oklahoma Offensive Tackle Walter Rouse.
Prior to playing at one year at Oklahoma, Rouse played four years at Stanford. Rouse is 6’5 and weighs 313 lbs.
In the 2023 season, Rouse allowed 0 sacks in 480 blocking snaps.
In his career, Rouse started 52 of 53 career games at Left Tackle (3,409 snaps.)

With their 6th-round pick (203 overall) the Vikings selected Alabama Kicker Will Reichard.
Reichard had an NCAA record 547 points throughout his collegiate career. He hold Alabama school records for:
field goals made (84) and field goals made of 50+ yards (10).

With their 7th-round pick (230 overall) the Vikings selected Wake Forest Offensive Lineman Michael Jurgens.
Jurgens started as a Center (2020-22) and Guard (2023) for the Demon Deacons. He played in 61 total games and started 46 times.

With their 7th-round pick (232 overall) the Vikings selected Texas A&M-Commerce Defensive Lineman Drake Rodriguez.
Rodriquez was a First-Team All-Southland Conference selection this past season for the Lions. He led the lead with 7.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks in 10 games.
