Devils Lake Native Grant Nelson Will Return to Alabama Next Season

NELSON ANNOUNCED ON HIS SOCIAL MEDIA THAT HE WILL RETURN TO ALABAMA FOR FINAL YEAR OF ELIGIBILITY.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR)–Devils Lake native and former North Dakota State Forward Grant Nelson is returning to Alabama next season.

The 6-11 Forward spent three years at NDSU before transferring to Alabama for the 2023-24 season. Nelson averaged 12 points-per-game and 6 rebounds-per-game last season at Alabama and opted to return for his final year of eligibility over declaring for the NBA Draft.

Nelson took the country by storm this past March for his play in the NCAA Tournament. He helped lead the Crimson Tide to the Final Four and did so with a 24-point performance against North Carolina in the Sweet 16 and a 19-point performance in the Final Four versus eventual National Champion, UCONN.

Nelson said on his Instagram page: “Lets run it back @alabamambb”
