RedHawks manager says this could be most athletic offense he’s had

FARGO (KVRR) – The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have hit the field in preparation for their summer season. Bringing back guys like the Captain Sam Dexter and pure-hitter Dillon Thomas is crucial for the RedHawks program as they also brought in a lot of new talent to the team.

Manager Chris Coste has seen a lot of talented rosters as part of the RedHawks, but this one might be his most athletic.

“We expect really good things from our team, like as every team at this stage,” said Coste. “But we put on paper, we put together a really, probably the most athletic offense we’ve had. It’s hard to say the best, because we’ve had some really offenses, but athletically we’ll get around the bases better than we ever had. Especially one through nine and the diversity with the interchangeable defense. It’s going to make my job easier. I can’t say we’re going to come out and score 10 runs every game but we have a very excited and very athletic offense.”

The RedHawks start preseason play on Tuesday with a matchup against the Sioux City Explorers. Game starts at 6 P.M. out at Newman Outdoor Field.

Throughout the week we’ll hear more from the RedHawks team as they prepare for the 2024 season.
