Burgum in New York courtroom with Trump as trial continues

NEW YORK (KVRR) — North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum was among an entourage that accompanied former president Donald Trump to court as Trump’s trial resumed Tuesday in New York.
“The governor is attending today as an observer in support of the former president,” according to Burgum spokesman Mike Nowatzki.
Trump was also joined by Florida Reps. Byron Donalds and Cory Mills and his former GOP rival Vivek Ramaswamy. Burgum and Donalds are considered potential vice presidential contenders.
“I do have a lot of surrogates, and they’re speaking very beautifully,” Trump said outside the courtroom as Burgum and the others stood in the background.
Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts. The case is the first criminal trial of a former U.S. president.
