After Days of Rain, Red River in Fargo-Moorhead Begins to Recede

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — The Red River is starting to recede in Fargo-Moorhead. The area’s been under a flood warning for some time, but it looks like relief is on the way.

The Red River in Fargo has been at minor flood stage since last Thursday.

On Monday, the river crested at 22.2 feet, three feet short of reaching moderate flood stage.

The river is expected to return to normal stage by Sunday.

Unusual amounts of rain over the past several days has been causing river levels to steadily rise.
