FARGO (KVRR) – The Fargo North Spartans are the top seed out of the east in the Class A Softball State Tournament in Dickinson. The Spartans are on a magical ride after taking the EDC conference title.

Coming in as the fourth seed for the EDC tournament, they took down Grand Forks Red River and West Fargo on their way to the top seed for the state tourney.

Fargo North have great chemistry on and off the field, and now they have their sights set on winning it all.

“They’re all honestly my best friends. I love each and every one of them. They’re all so different, but still we can come together and play the game of softball and it’s just amazing because we get along so well and I look forward to practice everyday.” said Maryn Schneider.

And this will be valuable experience for this squad because they have young players starring for them and it could make this team dangerous for years to come.

“All these girls really want it. It’s been great to watch everybody grow over the years. I’ve played with some of these girls since I was 9, 10-years-old and it’s been awesome to just play with them and keep getting better. Everybody wants it. Everybody works hard everyday so it’s awesome to see.” said Kenleigh Fischer.

The Spartans will take on Bismarck High on Thursday at noon out at the Sanford Sports Complex in Dickinson.
